A bamboo bonanza! That Sonny's stall in a nutshell! He creates the most wonderful and diverse collection of bamboo products we have ever seen. He has everything, from toothbrushes to pipe cleaners, to water bottles. His products are amazing, and he is such a lovely man.
Bamboo is of course one of the most sustainable materials in the world...Why? Because it grows so dam fast! Some bamboo species can grow over 1 metre per day! It is also very strong and malleable, which makes it a great building material.
We have personally been using their soaps for over a year now, and we love them! They reuse oils from cooking and turn them into their beautiful soaps, recycling a notoriously difficult to recycle substance in the process
Ourland works to protect and reestablish wildlife corridors while developing sustainable techniques and systems for living in harmony with nature. Their eco-village and nature education centre is a fantastic place to learn about sustainable ways of living.
Love Wildlife is a non-profit foundation in Thailand dedicated to protecting southeast Asian wildlife through outreach and education. We personally had a fantastic trip with them to see Bryde's whales in the Gulf of Thailand.
Precious Plastics Bangkok collects plastics through a network of hundreds of collection points, all across the city. It then sorts them and grinds them up ready for melting. They recycle this plastic by molding it into products for sale. Great project
