We have a very small and dedicated team of environmentally conscious individuals who are driven to building a sustainable future for us all.
Rebecca is a professional environmentalist and environmental educator. Her career has so far taken her all over the world. In 2019 she spent a fantastic year coordinating trips for schools in Thailand's rich and diverse ecosystems. During this year she noticed a need for a sustainable network and an active eco-community, which is where Growing Green Communities was born.
Lucas founded the ethical clothing brand Continent Clothing, which aims to provide full-time and sustainable employment opportunities to community members in The Gambia. He has been passionate about the environment since he was young and Growing Green Communities is the perfect mix of his passions, community empowerment projects, and working to improve the state of the environment.
The Sang Foundation was created to raise public awareness that plastic waste is now at a critical level and more and more marine animals are painfully dying because of our addiction to plastic. They were a co-organiser of the Bangkok eco-event and plan to continue hosting charitable, environmental events in Thailand.
Traidhos Barge Program
The Barge Program teaches the next generation of eco-warriors about the environment, through environmental education field trips and community engagement activities. They are a team of enthusiastic environmentalists, with backgrounds in marine science, geography, wildlife conservation and ecology. Rebecca (previously employed by Traidhos) and the team used their skills to deliver a sustainable market, and grow a green Bangkok. We look forward to the next one!
Dubbed the personal assistant of the country, My Gambia is the premier information website and magazine in the Gambia, offering expertise in the country, its people, history, and traditions. Ran by Ursa, a fantastic and enthusiastic lady, My Gambia is the perfect partner for our Growing A Green Gambia event.
Clean Earth Gambia

They are a student-led team from the University of The Gambia, led by an amazing woman Fatou. We are so excited to be partnering with this young and energetic team.
